Bucs veteran, Lavonte David, makes NFL’s All-Decade team; former Buc also on list

On Thursday, December 26th, 2019, the NFL announced its member of the 2010’s All-Decade team. The All-Decade team incorporates the most dominant players of the last 10 years, including players such as Tom Brady and JJ Watt, both of which being clear future Hall of Famers. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were represented rather well with veteran linebacker, Lavonte David, making the team as 1 of the 3 linebackers assigned to the All-Decade team. The other 2 linebackers selected include Carolina Panthers stud, Luke Keuchly, and Seattle Seahawks defensive Captain, Bobby Wagner. Lavonte David has been following the steps of Bucs legend Derrick Brooks ever since entering the league back in 2012. David made an instant impact his rookie year totaling 112 tackles, 2.0 sacks, 5 passes defended, and 1 interception. Ever since his rookie year things have gone up for David totaling 107 tackles, 7.0 sacks, 1 safety, 10 passes defended, and 5 interceptions, this incredible stat line comes just a year after his rookie performance. David has since made just one Pro Bowl and just one First Team All-Pro selection, known for being one of the most underrated players every year. David currently has a total of 719 tackles, 22.5 sacks, 46 Passes Defended, and 11 interceptions in his 7-year career and looks to increase all those numbers just being the age of 29. Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback, Darrelle Revis, has also made the NFL’s All-Decade team. Revis had high hopes for his signing in Tampa however the hype turned out to be for nothing. During the 2013 season, Revis had recorded 43 tackles, 1 sack, 11 Passes Defended, and 2 Interceptions. With such an up and down decade coming to an end for the Bucs, the future looks brighter then ever for a team with such a young core. The future is now for Tampa, Go Bucs!
